About AIIMS Patna
Established in 2012, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna is one of the apex healthcare institutes in Bihar, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. The institute aims to provide quality medical education, advanced patient care, and pioneering research to serve the people of Eastern India.
The campus spans over 150 acres in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure including a 750-bed hospital, advanced diagnostic centers, and modern academic blocks. AIIMS Patna is recognized by the Medical Council of India and offers various undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD/MS), and doctoral programs.

Academic Programs
We offer a wide spectrum of educational programs designed to meet global standards. The MBBS program admits 125 students annually through the NEET-UG examination. Postgraduate programs include MD/MS in 25 specialties, DM/MCh super-specialty courses, and PhD programs in medical sciences.
The curriculum emphasizes problem-based learning, early clinical exposure, and research methodology. Our simulation lab provides high-fidelity manikins for skill development. Students participate in community health programs in rural Bihar, gaining insights into public health challenges.

Patients can book appointments through our online portal, mobile app, or telephone helpline. Walk-in registrations are accepted from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Emergency services are available 24/7 without prior appointment.
Medical Records
We maintain complete digital health records (EHR) accessible to patients through a secure portal. Patients can download reports, prescriptions, and discharge summaries online.
Payment & Insurance
Cashless treatment is available for patients covered under Ayushman Bharat, CGHS, and other government schemes. Private insurance empanelment includes major providers like Star Health, Max Bupa, and ICICI Lombard.
Patient Support
Dedicated patient relations officers assist with queries, feedback, and grievance redressal. We provide accommodation facilities for attendants and have a cafeteria, pharmacy, and ATM within the campus.
COVID-19 Precautions
All patients and visitors must wear masks, undergo thermal screening, and maintain social distancing. Separate fever clinics and isolation wards are operational. Vaccination is available daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
